Our organization strongly believes that our student members have the ability to radically change and improve the world around us. There is untapped greatness at UIC and we will facilitate bringing it to the rest of the world.
To accomplish this, 2016 will mark the beginning of our annual "Shark Tank: UIC BMES Edition." Just as in the popular ABC show, Students will have to opportunity to pitch their ideas to a panel of judges in the hopes of securing funding to further develop their innovations.
Pitches must be made by current UIC students and be grounded in the field of healthcare technology. If you're not sure if this applies to you, just ask (email provided below).
Our first ever event will kick-off at 5pm on Wednesday, March 2nd in the Cardinal Room of SCE. If you have any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Tell your friends! NOTE: You do not need to be pitching an idea to attend the event, you are more than welcome to come watch and see what your colleagues have in store for the future.
DISCLAIMER (if your proposal is selected) 1. You and your team must be a student (undergraduate or graduate) at UIC. Outside consultants are acceptable. 2. If your pitch is selected, you will be asked to obtain national membership with BMES 3. Available funding for your project is up to $500 4. Moving forward, your project will be considered a BMES project (led by you).
Again, please email the Vice-President (email address listed above) for any questions regarding the event. Hope to see you there!
